I got an e-mail today from Blink announcing their IPO. If I read it correctly, apparently they sold shares and 2 warrants at $4.25 which started trading today. The shares are now at $3.12 after nearly 20% of the shares issued got sold to someone else today. The warrants are now at $0.54. That makes $3.12 + 0.54 + 0.54 for $4.20 in value surviving the first day of trading. Not a big movement on IPO day.

Of course, today's trading range for the stock was from 2.80 - 3.29, which is a 17% swing. To me, that seems volatile. But at end of day, the IPO held it's value reasonably well.

How is this an IPO (initial public offering)? Looks like they've been trading since 2010, if not earlier: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CCGI/chart?p=CCGI. Click on Max.

We had a previous thread on their offering at http://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?t=25158.

edit: Hmmm. per https://ir.blinkcharging.com/press-releases/detail/2174/blink-charging-co-announces-18500250-public-offering, it looks like they are now traded as BLNK and BLNKW. CCGI trading ended Feb 13th?

You do realize that CCGI has had some VERY scary financials, right? See https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/CCGI/financials?p=CCGI and click on Annual and Quarterly.

You'll have to ask them - their e-mail said IPO.

I wasn't aware of that. Given their performance under the CCGI symbol, I can see why they want to get a new symbol and what might present itself as a clean slate.

My post was not an endorsement of this as an investment. Just observing that it didn't crash on day 1 like I thought it might.

I received an email yesterday that ended up in my Gmail spam folder.

Its title is Blink Charging Co. Announces $18,500,250 Public Offering and NASDAQ listing. I did a search and didn’t find IPO nor initial anywhere in it.

Okay. Usually when there is a public offering and listing on an exchange, that equates to an initial offering, except of course for foreign companies just now getting onto a US exchange. But since their 'listing' isn't them joining the exchange but just trying to ditch their history, I see where I misunderstood what they were doing.

Also the fact that they stated trading would start 2/14 and when I pulled up the info on the stock, I did see that trading started 2/14 and it lacked prior trade data. This again suggest the 'initial' concept. But I see now that they pulled a fast one.

One can see references to symbol and name changes along news like reverse stock split at https://ir.blinkcharging.com/press-releases.

CCGI bought the bankrupt carcass of Ecotality/Blink and remained that way for ages, "maintaining" the Blink network. Now they've renamed themselves Blink.

Since their financials have remained incredibly scary, I saw no reason to throw my $ into a pit.

And yes, perhaps this was also an attempt to obfuscate/confuse about their past history. For some companies, this form of marketing/rebranding has worked. Many folks don't realize LG used to be Lucky Goldstar, selling products w/the brand Goldstar. Remember cheap black and white TVs, microwaves and amber monochrome monitors from Goldstar?

I can't find anything on it and depending on which website you look at they still appear as cncg or blnk. It's also strange that nasdaq charts show blnk trading back to september of 2017
