Employing a new form of scalable regulation, we can launch a global cap-and-trade today that sidesteps politics and incentivizes the masses.

This is a way to use the Bitcoin block chain to manage ownership and contracts (already happening in other realms as part of the 2.0 effort. See here for another example: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/blockchain-2-0-let-a-thousand-chains-blossom/)

The thought of an 'opt in' citizen's movement that can side-step global politics is really appealing... ;)

I'm surprised, but happy, to see environmentalists theorize on RBR / DROs. It's cool to see a group of people who tend to be very heavily dependent on state mandates come together with the likes of ancaps and ancoms on a non-aggressive solution that bypasses the state in areas where we all can see it's ineffective and where better alternatives can exist if we just create them. I'm excited to see where this sort of thinking can lead us.

Most of the folks behind the various cryptocurrencies are Libertarian (real libertarian, not Koch-funded neo-fascist...). ;) On the environmental side, traditional plans must involve government as we have to counter-balance big business. Until this, anyway.

I think it's a cool idea. Satoshi Nakamoto invented Bitcoin as a response to the 2008 financial meltdown. I'm not surprised to find the combination of a fully-public block chain plus reputation to be put out as a possible plan, but am surprised at how big I smile I get when I think about completely side-stepping governments and their handlers and shaming business into some sanity.
