My Leaf will arrive in the next few weeks. I have my Vin. Wondering if I can log into Connect EV before receiving the vehicle.

You can certainly set-up your (online) account and possibly even register the vehicle, but until they "activate" it in the car, you won't be able to talk to it.
Whatever you do, test it before you leave the dealer. Everyone is usually so eager to drive off the lot that it never gets properly set-up.

Yep, like he said.

First trip to the dealer, website kept saying I wasn't upgraded.

Had to take it back, another software upgrade done and yet another component swapped that they forgot about.

After accepting agreement, finally got the username+password I need.
Tediously sit in car and type in username and password.

Now I can connect to it with app, but the features are actually disappointing
and very slow. I guess it is cool that I can finally update the charge point info
in case I need the car-nav to find one for me.

If I ever leave my car in the garage for month-plus, I'll just hook the 12V
up to the trickle charger so the 3G modem and car systems don't
drain it flat. I have already wired up a quick connector to the 12V
which makes it easy to hook up my Battery Tender Jr.
