Fairly new to the Leaf, and so far i love it. However, I do not like the cup holder at all. They both are too small for my larger mugs and water cups. And if it’s very tall at all, it hits the edge of the dash. Sigh.....we here in az use lots of big glasses due to the heat to keep us hydrated.

Anyone have any ideas? I saw one posted here about an offset 3d made model which might work well. I pinged author and got no response though. I looked at the type that wedge by the passenger seat but they look very wobbly....

Ideas? My cup flopeth over.

I agree, I used to be a 44oz drinker and at times 52oz but in my Leaf I'm basically limited to 32 oz :(
The thread you mentioned about the 3D printed offset cup holder is the only solution I can remember reading on MNL. The Leaf is also lacking in the rear seat holder dept. :( Our Prius has a very nice flip down holder that holds 2 drinks of almost any size and it gets used all the time. I despise door cup holders which is all our Leafs get in the back! On that front, I added a single flip down drink holder, screwed to the back of the center armrest. I'd prefer space for 2 but there wasn't enough room. This is what I used for that and more often than not it's an overflow area for people in the front:

Thanks. I might try that for the back.

I tried this type of wedge: Drink Holder coffee Console Side Pocket with pen hole,Auto Front Seat Organizer Car Console and Seat Gap Cup/ Mobile Phone Holder Storage Pocket Box Cage coffe catcher for car https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J5ORKSQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_jMwuAbQ8JMDGR

But it was too shallow and wiggly.

I thought this might work but its too small. I need a base that holds a 3 inch circ mug.

Car Cup Holder,Xultrashine 5 in 1 Multi-Functional Holds Mugs Organizer,Adjustable Car Cup holder with Drink Phone Holder And Little Stuff Storage Cup, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MKF8BT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_KNwuAbG6K8SJT

I’ll keep looking.

Back when I drove a Miata sans A/C we had cup-holders that had a thin plastic part that slid down inside the window channel and hung from the door. That got us through Baker, CA at 126F. I think we got 'em at a truck stop.
If all else fails there's CamelBak... ;)

Wonder if this might work? A bit pricey....

Swigzy Car Cup Holder Adapter with Adjustable Base - Rubber Tabs Securely Hold Large Water Bottles Including: Hydro Flasks 32oz and 40oz, Yeti Rambler 36 oz, and Nalgene https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0752DZ1SB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_iFzuAbFF3350T

And yes, i know of the plastic thingey that hooks on the door. Those might break from the weight of my big yeti mug.

The OP of the 3d-printed cupholder takes a bit of time to respond, so just give him some time.

I have the printer's contact info, but am not personal friends of his. I'll pass your info to him if you don't get a response by Tuesday.
