I have had my new 2016 Leaf for two weeks now and love it.

I do have a question, however: I have a model S and have been told that by the nissan owers website that the Model S does not have the nissanconnect option so I cannot use Apps such as NissanConnect or Leaf Manager.

My questions is: What apps CAN I use with the model S? I would like, if possible, to be able to monitor the battery better, use climate control, timer etc.

Any help is sincerely appreciated

Hello and welcome!

If you haven't already seen it, check out the Leafspy app. You will need a wireless adapter to use it to talk with your Leaf, but it exposes a lot of information on the car itself and battery.

I don't think there is anything you can use to control HVAC or timers, unless the 2016 S has some new capabilities. You can use LeafSpy to monitor your Leaf, for things such as energy use, range/miles remaining, etc

Thanks Oakleaf and Firetruck41. I will look at LeafSpy and the wireless adapter
Wireless(WiFi) adapter for a iPhone and Blue Tooth for an Android.
