And is it possible

To add a quick charge port to a 2012 Leaf SV and upgrade from a 3.3 kW charger to a 6.0 kW charger?

The easiest and possibly the cheapest way is to sell that car and get a ’13+ with what you want.

At least used Leafs are cheap, as long as you don’t go to a Nissan franchise dealer.

http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?t=12323 is to add a 2nd OBC.

http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=404577#p404577 and http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=289770, but they were all/mostly about ‘13+ Leafs, which is totally different under the hood and in terms of where the OBC is located (http://sfbayleafs.org/news/2013/01/2013-nissan-leaf-product-highlights/ and http://articles.sae.org/11993/).

For what it is worth, I just purchased a used 2012. At the dealership where I bought it, 4 of the 8 used 2012 Leafs had the 6kw charging port.

The battery condition (using leafspy) in those cars was noticeably worse than those without the charging port.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. NO ’11 and ’12 Leafs from the factory have a 6.x kW on-board charger. They came with a 3.x kW OBC ONLY.

Maybe you’re talking about the CHAdeMO inlet on the left? That’s used for DC fast charging. Ones w/o CHAdeMO have a blank area on the left instead of a door covering a large inlet.
