Seems almost random, I plug it in green comes on, but it's not charging, I initiate it with the app and it starts.

Why doesn't it start automatically? sometimes it does pretty random.

I don't have a charge time set.

Please provide more information, like what do the three lights on the dash do when you plug in? What happens if you manually press the timer off button inside the car?
