Here's the place to be on Saturday September 20th from 10 to 4 pm !

Join us at the water's edge in Surf City, aka Huntington Beach, the host location for this exciting event!

Join us on the Socal Branch Mtng thread to chime in with ideas for our booth for this event http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=14125&p=382280#p382280" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or join us this Saturday at the Hometown Buffet in Cerritos for in-person EV camaraderie (all persuasions accepted and encouraged!)

Or, according to the running stats, :!: THE ELECTRICAL VEHICLE EVENT OF THE YEAR FOR THE NATION :!:

As this event has far more attendees registered so far than any other locale in the country.

C'mon LEAFERS! all we need is one more Leaf registered to take us to 20, more than any other model EV, plus add your 12,135 gas-free miles and you'll tip the total to 1 million miles!!!!

The organizers will have an onsite meeting for this event tomorrow evening at 6 pm. If you have any questions you'd like answered, or concerns addressed, or just want to add some input, leave them here or PM me and I'll get them answered. If you are interested in volunteering or finding our what volunteering entails, or would like to attend this meeting yourself, also post or PM me.

When are they going to allocate locations for the canopy, and who is going to set them up?
Are tools required, and when do we need to pay?

Are the DIY mod cars in a special area, or can the car be under our canopy at our table?
If we cannot have good shade, I cannot sit in the sun all day.
We could use 2 10x10 connected spaces, 2 or 3 tables, and at least 5 (to 10) chairs (in addition,
I plan to bring at least 2, perhaps 4 more from home). People like to sit.

Best to be located between other canopies for shade-sharing, since an isolated canopy
well not do well in the afternoon sun. To make our computer and smartphone displays
better visible to our visitors, we want to face north, not south.

How big are the tables?

Hi Gary,
Sorry for the late updating to your post but hope to finalize the details for our booth tomorrow at the Cerritos meet at HomeTown Buffet. http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=17823&p=388693#p388693" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There will be a pre-event EV caravan of cars to the fabled Donut Derelicts weekly Saturday morning gathering here: http://www.donutderelicts.com/aboutus.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; That's tomorrow morning at 7:30. It will attract media exposure for the Huntington Beach Drive Electric Event on 9/20. Anyone with a plug-in vehicle is welcome to join us there, at 7:30 or if you'd like to go as part of the caravan, there will be a staging point at 7:00 am at a private residence nearby in HB, please PM for the address if you can join us!

Sorry for any confusion and the late notice, but this is for tomorrow, 9/13 and not before the Drive Electric event which is next Saturday, 9/20.

OOOKAAY......It's been brought to my attention that our position at the top of this National Drive Event heap, with the most registered attendees in the nation at 706 is being threatened by a different metric, by our EV brethren up North. Specifically the Cupertino gathering which, while trailing us at 628 attendees, boast that they now have 139, yes, count them 139 Leafs registered vs our relatively puny 36 total Leafs (???!!!) Oh, c'mon! We can't muster more than that? Where's your Southern pride, SoCal Leafers? If you're within the sound of my voice, (and I'LL SHOUT IF I HAVE TO!) and there's even the remote possibility that you will show up to this, or think that you may, or you just like registering for things, go here pronto: http://goo.gl/O8G3Mf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and add to those Leaf numbers! The South SHALL rise (in numbers) again!

*apologies to anyone who may be offended by any unintended but inevitable Civil War flashbacks/associations*
