If you live in the Mid-Atlantic region, especially in Maryland, please support the Maryland Bill to Facilitate Charging at Condos & HOAs (SB168) by writing a letter to the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee. If you do this today or Friday, and email it to Senator Feldman (http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmMain.aspx?pid=sponpage&tab=subject6&id=feldman&stab=01&ys=2016RS), his staff will make copies and distribute them. Email the letters by Monday so they have time to make the copies Monday afternoon.

From the Guidelines:
The bill’s number, the name of the individual or organization submitting the testimony, and the individual or organization’s position (Support, Support with Amendments, or Opposed) should be clearly marked on the first page of testimony.

Thanks for your support. The lobby against this legislation will be in full force next week.

I'm sorry I don't live in the district. My quick look at the text of the bill suggests it gives landlords/HOAs way too many outs in comparison to the kind of legislation the satellite dish providers were able to negotiate into law (of course they had lots of lawyers and lobbyists) but this kind of legislation will certainly be necessary to promote the sale of EVs as many city dwellers live in such places without private garages and parking places. The problem will be finding enough advocates for whom it would help to have such an ordinance as many such people have never purchased an EV as they have no current place to charge one. Such a chicken and egg problem.

I hope it goes well.
