New LEAF owner here in Omaha, got mine last month from Woodhouse Nissan. Would love to hear from any other LEAF owners in this area!

Ouch...from the sounds of the crickets it appears that the KC LEAFs are the closest ones to Omaha. Too bad it won't make the drive between. Maybe in the 2015's. Welcome to the family.

Roger and Nicole Paulman on Friday became the owners of an “ocean blue,” all-electric Nissan Leaf, the first sold and delivered in Nebraska. To finally get the keys to their environmentally friendly Leaf was a welcome end to a plodding, two-year process that involved a waiting list to get the new, $38,000 sedan.

Thanks for the welcome, and yeah, those crickets are chirping loudly in the Omaha region here. That's okay though, for NOW, I'll represent ALL of Nebraska!

Just don't ask for any corn, it's so hot, that its all popped and gone.

Well it's been a whole month already since I originally posted this. I'm sniffing around again looking for Omaha LEAF's. Anyone? Anyone?

For what it's worth I canceled my reservation when my car arrived at Woodhouse on May 12. Just wasn't the right time for me to get a new car. Adam was great to work with. Not sure if my car has sold or not. Funny I just got my $99 refund a week ago (after letting Nissan use my money since April, 2010).

Congrats on your car... I'd be very interested to hear how your car does come our Nebraska winter. I travel for my job and make the 46 mile round trip to Epply at least once a month (where my car sits from Mon. morning to Friday afternoon). Honestly, I was afraid the Leaf would not make it (especially in the dead of winter).

Interesting enough, our new building at work (in Old Mill) will be done in April and we will have 6 L2 chargers for employee use. Maybe I'll reconsider come then.

Good luck!

My wife and I just leased our Leaf September 29th 2012. We live out in Crete Nebraska, which is about 20 miles southwest of Lincoln. We are sure we are the first people in Crete to have a Leaf. We got ours from Mark Gardner at Sid Dillon Nissan in Lincoln. They told us they had sold 6 Leaves in Lincoln.

I'll be installing a Lvl 2 charging station in my driveway.

Congrats! I ended up getting a Volt from Woodhouse. Couldn't stomach the range on the Leaf come the dead of winter. Enjoy your Leaf!

Congrats!! Great to see another Nebraskan on here!!

I was born in Falls City. I now live in Lansing Kansas. I am planning a road trip to Nebraska City soon. I think I have it mapped out.

1) Lansing to Atchison and charge in Atchison.

2) Atchison to White Cloud Casino and charge in White Cloud.

3) White Cloud to Indian Cave Park to camp and charge.

4) Indian Cave SP to Nebraska City.

I had my cord modified by http://www.evseupgrade.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so I can level 2 charge at RV parks.

Sounds like a fun trip!

Hey all you Nebraskans, you should be aware that Omaha is the home of the 15-year-old and very resourceful website (and more) EV World (.com). The founder and "Editor in Chief" (and seemingly great guy), Bill Moore, should certainly be able to help you connect to others. I believe he has one or more BEVs himself (of course).

If nothing else, you'll learn a lot from his site and especially subscribing to the newsletter.
