SMA is now selling microinverters (with a 10-year warranty)

I was reading a blog post by in installer who was complaining about microinverter failures and he mentioned that he had recently installed SunnyBoy microinverters at the insistence of one of his customers. I was pretty surprised to hear that they are offering these. I assume that they are trying to stem the defection of customers and/or installers to microinverter installations. The question is whether they will be able to offer a product which is compelling in this space.

Here is a negative review of the product. They mention that the product has a 30-year warranty, but I'll keep the thread title at 10 years until I can find that number on the SMA page I linked.

Does anyone have any experience with this new product?

I see no reason whatsoever to consider the SMA over the Enphase. SMA is too little, too late.

There are also micros from ABB, up to 300W should help to minimize clipping with the newer high-efficiency panels.
