I've written an iOS/iPhone app to access some of the battery status available over the OBDII port. I'd like to invite a few beta testers to try it out. Send me a PM if you're interested in giving it a try.

iOS doesn't allow open access to bluetooth so the bluetooth dongle doesn't work. However, WiFi OBDII dongles are available and work

A Google search for "2013 Super mini ELM327 WiFi OBD-II" finds several references to this device. Make sure its WiFi and not bluetooth.

Update: I've received enough responses for the moment. I'll let folks know as the app gets closer to release.

The one you mentioned seems expensive. Will cheaper options work, like this? :

Definitely interested. You have PM.

I have one of those too, but it seemed too long for me to drive comfortably without worrying that I'd break the OBDII port. I hadn't tried it until just now.

Its not currently working with the app, but I intend to get it working with it.

I've received enough responses for the moment. This is early beta code. Have found some issues dealing with the longer OBDII adapter that will take me a few days to sort out.

FYI. The app has been updated and should work with any of the WiFi OBDII adapters. I've tested with the following:

This looks like a nice unit:

Wifi, already has the extension built-in so it won't get in the way, and good price at 24$.

Willing to be a beta tester with this unit! :)

Interested. The Prime version for $26 seems like a good investment when the app becomes more widely available.

Too big and no power switch. I would go with the other one. I bought both for testing.

I would also love to see LeafSpy for the iPhone

I just ordered a Vgate iCar Wifi OBD dongle.

Please keep us informed of progress and if you need any help testing, etc.

Also interested in iPhone app and willing to be beta tester. Sounds like you have enough testers, but I am happy to join the group. Long time Apple guy, new to LEAF and loving it (even as used car with less gids). A bit surprised by the lack of information accessible from the dealer, intrigued by LeafSpy, and looking forward to an app I can use on the iPhone.

Thanks for taking the lead for us iPhone users.

Sorry for delay in responding. I've submitted it to the app store, in review. I'll post more info about the current app in another thread.
