Hi Priscilla,

LEAF drivers in the Northeast really appreciate when dealers install DCQC and keep them open and available 24/7. It really facilitates our ability to travel easier.

But we don't see one at BBN, so what are BBN's plans for the EV future, will you be installing one soon?

For some reason, your post brings this Python sketch (the second part) to mind - can't imagine why ;) :

I've stolen most of my posts from Python, many of them end up being stopped for having no punch line, or someone just shooting me, occasionally I'm hit in the head with a herring.

In my case, it's usually because I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.

(Sound of running feet, door opening and group entering: "Nobody . . Oh bugger!.")

Yeah, they were good. Aren't they making yet another comeback? Thought I heard some reference to that on the radio.

As for Priscilla and BBN, I guess I was threatening a bit. As good as some dealers prices may be, I think I'd rather do business with firms that are seriously involved with EVs, with sales staff who drive LEAFs and an available QC. BBN is too far for me anyway, but even here, only half the dealers in MA have QC, and there's so much variation in their knowledge and understanding.

The EV environment should really evolve this year with the advent of non-dealer QCs, more EV choices, and a state rebate.

So, Priscilla, get a QC, you'll attract EV drivers with a half hour to kill talking to sales people.

Depending on location, even a L-2 station, with multiple slots, could attract business if advertised as free and always open. They could leave sales brochures near the charging area.

Hi DNAinaGoodWay and everyone else!

We are working with Nissan USA to install a L3 QC station here at BBN... The time frame is unknown as of this moment. We are looking at large expense with this QC, but are truly considering the installation. Hopefully more Leaf sales from me will encourage our owner, Bruce Bennett to pull the trigger.
As far as involvement in “CT going green”? BBN has been responsible for installing 6-8 Aerovierment L2 charging stations in Fairfield County! :) We are currently working on installing more

Well good for you! BBN does get good reviews on PlugShare. I hope you sell a lot of LEAF and eNV200 when they come.

I'm sure I'll like L2 better when I trade in the 12 on something that will take 6 kW or better. Especially as a destination charge. 3.3 is good at work or overnight, but it's otherwise tedious, more so now that QCs are here.

Hello,
I am surprised that the BBN dealership didn't apply for the free QC from Nissan. A lot of our local dealers did and are very happy now; all you have to pay if for installation and they should get several quotes

Hi emas,
We are currently working with Nissan USA on quotes for a DC quick charge station

Why free? This penchant for trying to suck free power among EV drivers and wannabees should stop. Agreed it is not a lot of expense for the provider, but still at the cost of almost 1/4th of gas prices and also given that this is only for occasional use, why should it be free ?

I am worried about squatters who skip home charging and abuse the free chargers
