2015 Sep Plugin Sales Discussion : Leaf 1,247 - Total 10134

Low sales continue as we await 2016 Leaf & Volt.

Leaf is now just 13.5k YTD compared to 30k in 2014 overall.

For Leaf to not follow below 2014 level, 5,500 Leafs need to be sold on the average in Q4. So, we should expect total 2015 sales to be lower than 2014 - first time Leaf sales would have declined.

We were talking about this @NDEW a couple of weekends ago. I think the confluence of the circa 2011 Leaf body style (which--for the record--I still like) getting "long in the tooth", the impending range increase of the 2016 (and beyond) Leaf, as well as the lowest gas prices I can remember since buying my Leaf, have all combined to torpedo current Leaf sales. Of course, we won't really know for sure until some (or all) of these factors abate in a year or so. At this point, I think it's safe to say 2015 Leaf sales will be << 2014 sales.

Great time to get a 2015 if you're in the market. How many left? Less than 2000 yet? They timed the inventory pretty well.

Per Insideevs, still about 2600 left, if they can get the '16s onto lots by the end of October, it should transition pretty well.
