The dealers around here are discounting the LEAF pretty well, so I think that LEAF numbers will be over 3,000 again.

The i3 is now starting to get some decent pricing on lease deals so they should be able to increase sales over last month. This article shows a lease for 369 a month.

I am expecting the Leaf to kick my Volt's ass again in sales. I am seeing a whole lot of new Leafs in the Austin area. Either way, it's a win win for ev cars.

My 'coin' indicated that the i3 sales for September with be down versus August.

The interesting number will be Tesla's, but we'll really not know until week two in October.
Reports indicate that 2K Tesla vehicles went to China in Q3, but their forecast, "guidance",
will have been on the high side. If so, Q4 will place a huge demand on production/sales
to achieve 30K units for 2014.

We picked up the data a little ahead of the industry release today.

Nissan LEAF US Sales Continue To Surge In September
http://insideevs.com/nissan-leaf-us-sales-september-2014/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

...19th consecutive record month (sidenote: I picked up my 3rd this month - 2015 SV)

Nissan sales in general were up while Infiniti sales continued to tank:

"Nissan Group (NSANF.PK,NSANY.PK) reported total U.S. sales for September 2014 of 102,955 units, an increase of 18.5 percent over the prior year.

Total car sales grew 13.2% year-over-year to 60,574 units, while total truck sales rose 27.0% to 42,381 units over a year earlier.

Nissan Division September sales were up 22 percent to 95,118 units. But, Infiniti September sales were down 13.3% to 7,837 units."

Really? That in itself might be a record! Do you have three LEAFs right now, or have you wrecked two, or what?

Now that the Tesla Factory is back up to full speed they are pumping out the Model S again to the tune of ~2500 units for September.

It is 369/month and $4K down payment and that comes to $480/month. Approx $200/month more than the Leaf.

BMW started the i3 2 day test drives last month - that should improve their numbers (or atleast keep it over 1k). We'll see today.

Nice quote in your article:
InsideEVs said:
“Nissan LEAF owners have turned into some of our best marketers, and they jump at any opportunity to share their enthusiasm with friends and family,” said Toby Perry, director, Nissan EV Marketing.

“Take National Drive Electric Week—a grassroots celebration of all things EV and the perfect platform for LEAF owners to showcase the benefits of going electric. After celebrating with EV owners in more than 130 cities across the country, we saw a significant increase in LEAF showroom visits with midweek traffic just as heavy as what we see on the weekends.”
Is Toby Perry related to Mark Perry by any chance?

The 2015 SL trim level lease is coming out quite high these days also. For some reason the published lease residuals are quite low for the SL. Also, you can get the i3 even cheaper if you do the OwnersChoice w/ Flex provided you have the income tax liability to take the entire $7500 federal tax credit.

Isn't interesting that http://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-in-sales-scorecard/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; reports
a number that's the required run rate for Tesla to achieve 30K units for 2014 (Tesla's "guidance").
Usually they are on the low side as can be seen from the YTD thru 8/2014 data.

The factory has been down for retooling and they have been filling lots of UK/Euro and China orders for the last several months. None of those sales are shown on that list.

Yes, we know this! So now for 9/14 Insideevs reports exactly the worldwide run rate number required for
2014 "guidance" for JUST the US? We know based on Q1 & Q2 filings that worldwide YTD sales were 15K.
Reports indicate China Q3 total was about 2K, so where's the rest?

I don't even know what you are trying to say.
