These are only concept drawings and may only be vapor, considering that British site Auto Express doesn't attribute a source for the drawings, calling them "our drawings ", and "exclusive".

Nonetheless, interesting fodder for discussion. I don't love the design, but I like it much better than LEAF. Gen 1. My favorite mid size hatch these days is the Mazda 3.

By the way, I see no charge port door in these drawings, but I'd expect Nissan to continue with a large port in the grille.

Here you go. What do you think, and do you think this design direction is a credible estimation of Nissan's intentions!

I like it! (But not the color.) I've always liked the look of the Ford Focus, and it seems Nissan just stole that look!

I certainly don't miss the $1000-apiece headlights.

The 186-mile claim sounds like they may be discussing EPA range, given they reference it off of 85 miles.

Sounds like MY2017...

To me it looks dreadfully conventional and mainstream. But I understand why Nissan wants to make a change for broader appeal.

Maybe "classic" gen one LEAFS will come to be appreciated and revered like original VW bugs in time. I certainly love mine for its easy entrance/exit, headroom, roomy and spacious feel, etc. I hope future LEAF designs don't fall victim to the appetite for cramped cockpit-like interiors, but these sketches look like they may be headed that way.

If so, it will be a strong incentive for those like me to buy a classic LEAF and just exchange batteries as needed. Looks like little other significant maintenance is likely to be needed.

Too pinchy and that front end has more facets than the Hope Diamond -- all doing, what? exactly?

An EV should be smooth and aero. Form follows function. An EV doesn't need the intake area of a Harrier jet. Or even worse, faux intakes!

Why do we need two threads with the same thing?
