I attended an EV gathering yesterday at Bergen Community College in NJ and there were a bunch of reporters there.

Watch the Video and read the Story here:

My Car shows up in the Video at around 1:33

I just ordered breakfast at a Bagel shop in my town and the guy behind the counter said he saw me and my car on TV. On the news. I didn't catch that one.

You represented the Leaf and the electric cars VERY well!!

I feel the same way..once you drive an electric car, anything else is far less than second best.

Welcome to the 'My car was on TV' club!

While all the signage is not my thing, it's obviously effective, so congrats on the attention! Any idea if the reporters were invited, or just showed up?

Thanks!, Today I dropped off my LEAF at the Dealer for the 15K mile checkup, and I'm driving an ICE loaner, I'm so depressed.

I'm sorry, but the Terrorist angle is just too over the top for me...

It's crazy how many people approach my car because of that Terrorist Bumper Sticker / Door Magnet.
At least 50%, 35% for the license plate and the remainder for the shape and EVSE plugged into the front.

It works for a lot of "average" people though.

Yep. It sure does. I get guys in huge trucks who look down and read it and start laughing and give me thumbs up.

Bagels & Beans Union NJ, I think a little too far for you.

Nope. Because the 13 & 14 LEAFs are different than the 11's & 12's

You can get them if you like. They cost around $38 each.

My Leaf and I were at the Oregon version of the same event. Here is our media coverage:

We'll see. Bit early to fairly compare their capacity degradation yet.
Yes, the 2015 if it has the new more heat resistant chemistry might be quite a bit different.
But if Nissan did that using only accelerated rapid cycle testing it too might have issues.
They've already proven they know how to do it wrong on the 2011 and 2012. And in six months to a year we'll find out about the 2013.
Just hope you're not helping Nissan lead more inadequately informed people down the garden path

Tim,

Do I still need to warn potential LEAF owners about the battery with a replacement price of only $5500?

I think in 7 years I'll be able to go to a Pep-Boys and get a replacement pack for $1295.00 installed.

SELLING replacement battery with trade in core for $229 per kWh.
Build a big enough battery plant and $400 to $600 per kWh are a thing of the past :!: :!: :!: :!:

Cool!, I had to reply to a Troll who commented.

Better.

Still quite a bit more positive than my perspective on my Nissan LEAF that is five years and two weeks old, has less than 34,000 miles on it, has a battery capacity of 63%, but would not drop the fourth capacity bar prior to five years.
And it is worth only $5,000 per the recent dealer offer to take it as a trade in.

The problem is not electric cars.
It is Nissan's defective implementation.

And those that missed the battery lottery often did so because of Nissan's marketing lies.
I would not have left the garage doors partly open the first two summers to help the battery had Nissan been honest.

I think your promoting electric vehicles is great.
The whole Nissan LEAF story just doesn't fit on a small sign.

Takes three to five minutes to tell it all when people ask.

There are many wonderful things about the LEAF.
The first thing I always tell people about it is I love.
But the other two to three minutes are so poor that I could not find the enthusiasm to go tell that complete story multiple times at last year's drive electric event.
So I skipped attending.
