Re: Interesting UK/EU dealer training documents

Are we the public? I found them with a Google search. If they intend them to be company confidential (and I've no doubt that's true) they're going to have to do better than that! ;)

Cwerdna, I have copies in my Dropbox, just in case. I'll see about getting them uploaded where we have more control the links.

Wow! Great find Mike! :D :D
The battery lift table is a bit expensive at $2,330 Euro.
I wasn't even aware of a battery air leak test, and haven't taken time to fully review and understand it though. Interesting info.

I believe it's for the newer packs, where the two halves of the case are bonded together.

I noticed an illustration of the charger being moved to the front of the car in 2013. Three pages later, there's another illustration of the high voltage parts, and the charger is back in the rear again. From this, I conclude that we can't really rely on this document to tell us what's changed in 2013 and what's not. I had been wondering about this very thing (the pressurized battery) since they revised the packaging on it and some speculated it might be open to the air.

As a former backyard mechanic, I can say that the "special tools" section of a service manual was always regarded as an idea book for the jigs we'd build for ourselves.
And there goes the first capacity bar! At 24,000 mi on 9/9/2013.
Second bar at 30,500 mi on 2/7/2015.

^^^
And, I believe in the UK model years are (were not?) not used much and are a bit goofy vs. the US. Maybe a Brit can chime in on that?

Please don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.

There not reliable because the focus is always on the year a car first registered. And new vehicle registrations go March-August and then September-February. So a car built as a 2011 could easily be registered during the same time period as one built in early 2012, and you'll see advertisements where cars are listed as "2011 on a 62 plate", which gives it more snob appeal because it "looks" a year newer.
