On Sunday I start my trip from Bath to Geneva to attend the Tesla Model S European launch http://www.teslamotors.com/en_GB/event/geneva-motor-show-0

I will be at the Goodwood Breakfast Club on Sunday and also take part in the Zurich to Geneva drive with ~30 Tesla Roadsters on 9th March.

I will be using the HPC 'fast' charge network and hotels along the route http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=213370990990417216424.00049f03c041e2f155540

My colleague Charles Roberts and I will be tweeting if you'd like to follow our progress;

Bath near Bristol?
yes... I'm stopping for breakfast with family near Southampton (quick charge at 32A) and then onto Ashford via the Goodwood Breakfast meeting. I'll stay overnight in Ashford where hotel has Tesla HPC (70A) Charging Station. Next morning I take the Chunnel and head south.

It's possible to undertake the whole trip non-stop fast charging on HPC's in UK and Europe. However, I'm in no hurry so will do an easy 200 to 250 miles a day with work and leisure filling the time :)

Well Sink Me! Absolutely Wizard! Enjoy the lovely drive. Someday we will be able to drive coast to coast with a QC every so many miles.

Cheers,

Dave

Looks like you very happy driving on "the wrong side of the road"

1124 miles from home :D

Spending a couple of days in the French town of Besancon staying (and charging) at the Hotel Le Sauvage

Besancon has ~20 public parking spaces with 16A charging in one city centre car park today. By the end of the year it will have charging in all 10 city centre car parks.

In total we travelled 1973 miles from Bath to Geneva and back (1018 outbound and 955 return). The whole trip was extremely simple and easy and I would encourage everyone to get out and road trip :D
