Cold Weather Package In Florida?

I have not received delivery of my Leaf ( sometime in November I hope) but as I am in Florida we are just getting the pre orders now.
My question is who came up with the bright idea of a cold weather package as standard why not make it optional it added to my original price and is absolutely useless to me (today was a chilly 92 degrees).

I understand that people live in colder states but as the roll out was including Florida a warm weather option would of been more appealing (although they did add a rear vent)

but if I could wrangle an orphan from Tennessee I would grab that instead!
