I find that I almost never use the buttons on the keyfob. And since I have keyless entry on my house, I have almost no need to carry keys anymore except for my car key.

So, in the name of reducing what I have to keep in my pockets, I would love to get a mini-fob that I could keep in my wallet or in a cellphone case. Does any such thing exist?

It would also leave you with no way to unlock the door and open the hood if the 12-volt battery becomes completely discharged.

I didn't say it was a good idea. Just an idea.

I did ponder that though, and I guess you could use AAA lockout service if you were a member.

I like the idea. As for not being able to get in the car when the 12V battery is dead, it's not a big deal (in most cases). You can't drive that far away from home, so just ask someone to bring the key, or stick it below the trunk space (the space people have been using for their spare tire).
