Hello,
I live in Norway where DRL in the front are mandatory. As for now, I either have to manually switch on the headlights or cover up the light sensor on the dash to make them work in "Auto" no matter if dark or not.

I've been thinking about installing separate LED DRLs, but in all the instructions I find here, they will be turned on all the time with the "ignition" on. That's not an alternative, as it's not legal with more than 2 lights in addition to parking lights here.

My previous car, a 2004 Chevy Tahoe had separate DRLs, "Auto" setting and a light sensor. When it was daylight, only the DRLs were illuminated. When it got darker, the DRLs switched off and the headlamps, taillights etc. turned on. My dad's VW Golf behaves in the same way.

Is there any way of wiring up/programming DRLs on a 2013 US Leaf to make it work like this?
