I've seen the guide for the 13-17 Leaf, and the post regarding the 2018 SL, but I'm trying to figure out how to replace the radio in my 2018 S.

I looks like I can use the mounting bracket for a Versa Note https://www.amazon.com/Metra-95-762...&qid=1534030852&sr=8-1&keywords=metra+95-7621 and it *looks* like the steering controls are the same as the 2018 Rogue.

I've got a quote from an AV installer of ~$500 (w/o the head unit) but I'm interested in trying it myself.

Does anyone know:
* does the Axxess ASWC-1 work in my car?
* another adapters needed for the steering wheel controls
* anything needed for the dash display (show's what's playing via BT)
* is there a specific wiring harness that would work?

Thanks for any and all assistance.

I've not looked at an S, but the radio comes out pretty easily. I would guess that it's a standard Nissan harness, with your biggest hurdle going to be the dash. I would expect an ASWC would work, though you'll be programming it on your own, at least at first. I would look into a PAC or iDatalink piece (I just have always seem to have issues with Metra products) for steering wheel controls. If iDatalink is working on a solution, they would be the best option for integrating into the OEM cluster, but then you're looking into one of the RR pieces. I've done a few iDatalink pieces lately and they seem to be on the ball in terms of programming/integration.

Any ideas which bits I need for these?

You'll have to pull the radio to figure out what harness you need, then after that it's gonna be some work to make all of the controls to work.
