Help- is there a 12v turn-on wire for the stock stereo?

Fri Apr 11, 2014 7:58 am

I installed a new stereo system in my 2013 Leaf and the amplifier needs a 12v turn-on wire. Does anyone know if the non-Bose system has an output wire that goes to 12v when the stereo is turned on?
Thanks!!!

I see a couple possibilities:

Pin #57 is the camera power pin
Pin #47 is the microphone power, but that is probably <12 volts
Pin #85 is the antenna amp power

Which stereo did you pick? I'm vacillating between leasing an S and SV. If there's a decent aftermarket stereo that'll work with the Leaf, I'll go S so I don't lose the charging controls that are included in the stereo in the SV.

I have the non-Bose SV model- just using the stock stereo but upgraded all else.

Outstanding! PIN #85 looks like a winner.
Now where do I find this AV Control Unit plug- coming out of the head unit?
Or maybe I pull the output off the antenna amp itself?

Any ideas on what might be easier access?
