Tapping into rear-view camera for DVR

I’m wondering if anyone has attempted this yet? Those dashcams that support a rear view camera, would be nice to just tap into the NTSC wire in the back of the navigation?
 
Although I haven't installed a dashcam that supported a rear camera, I would guess that the connection to the dash cam would be your first obstacle. Generally companies will source manufacturer specific connectors even if the signal can be interfaced.
