Since there are no exhaust fumes exiting a BEV, how about a power window in the hatch glass so I can get better ventilation without resorting to A/C. Maybe it would be an aerodynamic engineers nightmare, not sure. But it would be a feature you wouldn't find on an ICE car since the Mercury Monterey of the 60's. The open air experience will remind me that "Economic Reality" never trumps "Environmental Reality" in the modern world.

From my experience with hatchbacks, and the LEAF's in particular, I've got to say you'd be sucking all kinds of dirt into the hatch area and onto the rear seat. Of course, if you'd opted for the black upholstery, and in particular the leather, maybe you wouldn't mind so much.

I agree, that back glass and hatch collects more dirt than I've ever seen on any other car...I can wipe it off every single day and it soils a rag pretty good each and every time.......
