Are your dates correct? Shouldn't your order be 2011 and delivery 2012?

Total cost $33,000-9000 state and federal rebate.
$24,000

I was able to email all of the dealers in OR and ask who would give me the best deal. I ended up getting invoice pricing on all options and the car 2.79% below invoice. Dealerships get "hold backs". When Nissan dealerships move a car the day it arrives, they get an additional 2.79% below invoice. The percentage gets smaller until nothing if the car is still on the lot after 90 days. I got a 2011 SL with almost all the options and had to pay for the QC port since I am not part of the Ecotality project.
71,000 miles (10 bars, AHr 47.48 204 Gids, 28% battery degradation) $1363 in Hydro power. 704 QC events (38 to 90-96%, 261 to 80-89%, 405 (20-79% range). Plate: BYE GAS. Carbon offset: VEGAN & 2011 LEAF

Gentlemen:

Just got out of the dealer after some intense haggling. I told him I will get back to him 24 hours. Here is the deal:

Blue Leaf, base model, NO quick charge port.

Buy: $32k plus taxes, title, registration
Lease: $14.5K total for 36 months, 15k miles per year. This includes taxes, title, registration.

FYI: if i were to buy, I do qualify for the full $7.5k fed tax credit.

What do you guys think? Inputs appreciated.

Thanks

2011 LEAF SV MSRP is $32,780 so you're basically getting MSRP on that. I'm assuming it's not a late model year with the Cold Weather Trim of Fog Lights, Heated Seat and Steering Wheel since that would add just under $1,000 to your MSRP and also that you don't need that.

Compare that to an 2012 LEAF SV MSRP at $35,200 with all that Cold Weather stuff. Over all, I'd say stick with the 2011. It was a better model year if you don't live in a cold climate.
RIP CO2 Fre, 27 months, 42,282 mi & 11 bars.
unAmerican Job & Nissan's Rapid Depreciation cost $20,000!
5 hours on the road daily w/o Charge at Work on 100%.

Long Live CO2 Fre, Maxed 2013 SL, 20,000 mi/yr lease.
