Hi all,

This chart is very helpful for speeds
http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?t=4295

And for elevation, the footnote at the bottom says
1. Subtract one fuel bar (1.5 kWh) for every 1000 ft (300 m) elevation

Why ?

Ah ... never mind.

I just realized that the footnote was meant to show energy consumption with NET elevation change, not driving at elevation per se.

But do note that the lower Air Density increases range 1.5% per 1000 feet above sea level.
Yes, thanks.

I'm surprised that it is not more. At my elevation of ~ 6000 ft the air density is 0.83 kg/ccm -- about 17% lighter air, and aero resistance at 110 kph (68 mph) is around 75% of total (air + road) frictions. It works out to 200 Wh/mile not including drivetrain losses.
