This is what I am questioning about too. Since I started using this method I had never charged to 100% with L1/L2. I need more experiments to make a conclusion about this.

As far as I know, there is a Japanese folk whose 65k miles odd 4-yr 24kWh LEAF could reach to 90 miles while SOC went from 100% to 19%. His feeling is that his SOH=90% LEAF does not seem giving him a fake value. I hope his feeling is true.

Without knowing what speed he did those 90 miles it is an irrelevant number.

His miles/kWh is more than 5.0 as he mentioned before since he rarely uses highways.

Heating up the pack will allow it to store more charge but this is not preserving or renewing capacity. It only allows the charge in the battery to move easier. This "might" be ok in Winter but highly recommend you do not do this when it gets warm and I don't mean Summer time either.

As far as not charging to full on L1/L2; that is a valid concern and the warmer it gets, the greater the concern.

The statement of getting over 100 miles at street speeds is misleading and meaningless. Its easy to do 120 miles on a charge if you are averaging 20 mph on a steady drive.

I feel you are right. This method might be a cheat technique to make LEAF calculate its battery health condition good. Next question is how this method affect the real battery life or perhaps risk of catastrophic results.

I know that Hx stays unchanged if SOC on dashboard is 50% or below. Also, it seems like that using cruise control can prevent Hx from being decreased. As long as this won't cause any catastrophic results, this method might be a good one to keep up decent range. No one knows though...

Hx is changing until SOC on dashboard is not less then 30%. On leaf 2015

So a slight improvement over 3 months ago. But that hides a wild ride in my battery stats in the interim. Over a period of 3 weeks, from the end of September to late October, SOH went from 96% to 90% (AHr 59.945 to 56.213), before bouncing back up. A good lesson in not sweating the day-to-day or even week-to-week fluctuations.

Also, Until about a month ago, the AHr would almost always be slightly different each day. But now, since hitting 60.386 on 12/7, it's only moved once, going down to 60.194 on 12/21, where it's been since.

So I’m really getting concerned... I still have only lost 2 bars on the GOM. However, LeafSpy Pro is reporting that I have only 42.90Ah at 100% charge. Oh yeah, only 15.7kWh too.

By everything I’ve read hear I should have dropped the 4th bar by this level of Ah.

So the question I have is what are the lowest Ah readings folks have seen at 3 and 4 bars lost? This should be from folks with 2015 or later 24kWh Leafs.

My ‘13 dropped the 4th bar while fluctuating between 41.58 and 42.65 Ah, SOH 63-65%. My kWh weren’t recorded but I remember them being around 14 on a full charge.
