AC always comes on

Anyone else have AC always come on no matter what button you push on the Climate Control area? We'd love it if we could hit the defrost button without the AC turning on.

In that situation, the AC acts as a dehumidifier in order to clear the window faster.

Many cars force 'AC' when you explicitly request defrost (dehumidified heating) - once it unfogs you don't have to leave that part running constantly.

As to getting fan (not "defrost") with no AC, use the manual fan speed buttons to adjust the airflow, and raise the target temperature up to ambient and turn off the AC by hitting the A/C-heater on-off button, or the AC button if it's illuminated. You should be able to get airflow without the AC or heat actually being on.
