(LEAF 2015 S, 38,700 miles, 12 battery bars, second owner, x 1 month.)

I turned on the car and the EV System Warning Light is lit. No other warnings, 100% battery, estimated 90 miles available, outside temp 85-90F. I drove to town (12 miles, 45-55 mph). Parked, set the P brake, and turned off the car. A steady high pitched tone sounded, no other indicators.

I did my shopping, some 30-45 minutes, and after loading my merchandise into the "trunk" I opened the door to silence. I started the car, and everything is normal.

This is not the first time this has happened, and being that the nearest EV certified dealer is some 67 miles away, I haven't taken it in.

The EV warning light can come on the first time after a charge that terminated in a way that the car didn’t like. On restart, the light will be out. This behavior is not worrisome.

Don’t know anything about the steady warning sound.
