2015 Leaf with 28,000miles. I was just informed one of the pins at the port connector has been driven in to housing and will no longer charge because of bad connection. Seems like an easy fix? Dealer wants $2400 US to repair! Complete new harness and labor. Anyone with suggestions?

DIY, buy the part on EBay:

Swapping the charge port harness seems to be pretty straight-forward, based on this post on a related matter:

That post describes how to install an inline diode at the charge port, but the first few steps explain how to get at the charge port wiring harness, which is what you want to do.

I'd go the DIY route or perhaps buy the ebay part and find a local mechanic to swap the parts for you. In either case, do BE CAREFUL as the voltage and current from the main traction battery can easily kill you.

This is what I would do as well, but if you still choose to do it yourself, at least remove the fuse for the traction battery before any work.

I would argue that the charge port, harness, etc. is covered by the 5-year, 60,000-mile EV System and Powertrain warranty. Call the Nissan EV Customer Service phone line if the dealer will not fix it under warranty.
