Hello all,
I am new here. I have had my 2017 SL for about a month now and so far I really like it. However, I noticed that every time when I first start the car and drive forward, I can hear a "Click" sound from the front of the car when the speed reaches 6-7 MPH. No matter in D or B mode. There is no sound when coming to a stop, nor accelerates again from a stop. It only occurres every time when I first turn on the car and reaches 6-7 MPH for the first time. Therefore, I am here to see your suggestions. Is this normal? What should I do? Thank you.

Probably similar to this:

Still no clicking sound after lubrication.

Thank you for your information. I have looked at that post as well. The only difference is that mine only "click" once when it first started, not every time when coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop.

It's likely the ABS self-test: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=378223#p378223.

Both my current used '13 and my former leased '13 definitely did this.

So I just had the cotter pin issue fixed because I also had the single click at a start and a stop. I still hear the one you're talking about, and I agree with the post above, the ABS self check is likely the source of this sound.

Mine occurs when I change from reversing out of my garage to drive mode.

Thank you so much for your information. I think it is what I am hearing.
