A friend was rear ended in her '16 Sl..a leased car.
Car was not badly damaged..LR Fender and bumper.
Ins co had her drive it to a repair shop.
Will this effect her when the lease is up?
Is there something she should be aware of?

Should not affect her lease in any way..
This is one of the upsides of leasing...reduced residual due to accident is lessor's problem...

As long as the car is repaired properly using new factory parts, it won't affect the lease at all.

One thing to be concerned about is if any sheetmetal will need to be repainted to make sure the body shop either removes the traction battery, or uses a paint that cures at a relatively low temperature. Otherwise the heat from curing will degrade the battery prematurely and reduce range.

I take mine to the dealer I bought it from so their body shop does the work. This way they can not say the repair work was not up to standard because they did it.
