I have had my Leaf for a few weeks and finally opened the hood to see the what makes this baby run. I noticed something odd under the hood. There appears to be a missing cover and a junction box that shows several wires are exposed. I sent an email to my dealer and he checked a similar Leaf in the showroom and sure enough it had the exposed wires also.

Is this normal, it just seems to me that there should be a cover on that box?

What does everyone think? Should I take it to the dealer?

I have a picture but I am not sure how to post it here.

If you are talking about the connector behind the 12-volt battery that has a whole bunch of wires, it is normal--for some reason Nissan does not put a cover over it at the factory. I questioned it when I first got the 2015 so we looked at one the dealer had on the showroom floor and it was the same. I have looked at several 2015s and they all have that connector left uncovered. I did not want to get water into that connector so I fabricated a splash shield or cover for it from a piece of flexible plastic or rubber.
