I just noticed this today. I have a 2012 model with 29k miles. Is there a part of the display out or is this indicative of something (small line missing near the top "1")?

Your battery has degraded. Read all about it here:

OK, I thought the large bar went missing when the capacity started to degrade. So I've lost 15% of my battery capacity already?

You should feel lucky. I lost the first bar after only 8,300 miles (less than a year), and after two years over 23% of my original battery capacity is gone.

Yeah, when you put it that way. I guess a lot is weather-dependent. I'm in the mid-Atlantic and the car is under cover (parking garage or carport) most of the time.

I've had the Leaf since Halloween 2011. It looks like I'm matching up to the blue line pretty closely:

That's OK, I actually thought that, too, Grant.

Knock on extreme wood: My 2012 has just under 22k and no degradation YET. Which is honestly weird, because I drive it pretty fast on the way to work. Ok, really fast when I'm late and there's no one in my way.

But here's what happens when I say anything: I jinx myself. Like the other day, saying I've bad better luck with my Leaf than with my former car as far as body damage. Very next morning, I get into a minor accident (that is turning out to be a headache since the guy wants to rape my insurance. But I digress.)

So I'm holding a 4-lear clover, and a rabbit's foot, and throwing salt over my back right now. :?
