I have a 2012 with 21000 miles. I will not be using it for three weeks and will be parking it in my home garage.

All I could find in the manual was not to leave the batteries at or near zero.

Is there an optimum level that I should charge to before I leave?

Are there any other tips I should know about regarding storing the car for three weeks.

Thanks everyone!

Great info here:

Another good thread here from this board on this topic:

I just returned from a three week absence myself. I just followed the procedures mentioned (leave at least half charged and unplugged) and everything was fine when I got home Saturday. :D

+1
I have left mine at the office or airport numerous times without issue. It is usually at about 60% SOC when I park it for extended periods of time.

+1 Likewise for me. I did not disconnect the 12V battery, did not hook up a battery tender, left the car unplugged, and charged to 5 bars. Three weeks later, it was exactly as I'd left it.
