2015 Leaf Problems with no SATNAV BB S model Leafspy Pro Settings

Thu Oct 11, 2018 11:07 pm

Ok 2 things first I think I miss set my 2015 Nissan leaf I am told you have 22Kwh of Battery but my leafspy pro only shows a 21Kwh SOC can setting leafspy wrong cause this problem???

second problem my Leaf is a California Car brought up to Canada by a Dealer in Port Moody BC from what I know it dose not have a Winterizing package for the Battery it just has a Cooling system.... Can I add a Circulation Heater without hurting the battery?? this mod would pump Heat into the Battery-pack to keep it from freezing.... I have not checked to see if that tank full of Smurf Pee is only for the environmental control system or for cooling the battery-pack...

The '11 to '17 Leaf had a 24 kWh battery. Not all of it is user accessible even when new and the battery degrades over time.

As for whatever Leaf Spy displays for kWh, I wouldn't bother with that. See viewtopic.php?p=537453#p537453.

No Leaf has any battery cooling. The coolant tank up front is for the on-board charger and IIRC, inverter and motor.

I have no idea what you mean by the bolded part. Ever since model year 2012 (well forget the exceptions on model year 2018 and 2019), the cold weather package became standard on Leafs: https://www.autoblog.com/2011/07/19/201 ... equipment/.

'13 Leaf SV w/premium package (owned)
'13 Leaf SV w/QC + LED & premium packages (lease over, car returned)
'06 Prius

Please don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.
