Nav Buttons stopped working

Only the POWER button respond to turn the audio on or off, all other buttons around the screen do not respond so are the steering wheel ones (volume, next track, etc) but climate is fine

I tried reseting the car, no luck, the iphone still autoplay the music and i can hear it through the speaker slightly (low volume)

SO i tried unplugging the battery, it actually fixed the issue for a while, rebooted a few times without any issues, then issue started again, i've recorded the bug on video, hoping i don't have to replace my navigation, could it be a fuse?

Nope. That's messed up. A trip to the dealer for you, methinks.

Bad Nav station for sure, in warranty ... Get it replaced. that's a first, thanks for posting.

my car base warranty is over, does the nav has its own warranty ?

I thought all leafs came with a 3 year warranty?

As I mentioned in the previous thread, you have an internal problem in the nav and will have to get it replaced.

No, it doesn't, and that's a pricey part - $3000 from even an online discount parts supplier. I would try to find a used one.

Call 1-877-No-Gas-Ev 1-877-664-2738 and they can check your warranty stats and anything to do with computer firmware updates etc.

Priced used from $770 on http://www.car-part.com. You'll want to look up "TV Screen" on the drop down list. Be careful - there are two units, one for cars built prior to 2/11 and one for cars built after. Part numbers are 25915-3NA0A and 25915-3NA1B respectively.

It's a pity you don't need a newer version for 2013-14 LEAF (25915-3NF0A)...there are two on eBay right now priced at $500 and $600.

Discovered something else, if i wait 15min+ the issue always goes away completely!! :shock:

So it seems like it's hanged on something, trying to load something on the software or hardware warm up ?

I'd like to test the software side first, how can i do a COMPLETE reset on the navigation unit ? pull out the dashboard and press that tiny button? but where ? :?: :?:

So turns out the issue doesnt occur if i always start the car in DRIVING mode (never use accessory mode). It's been days using driving mode only and no problem at all, something about that accessory mode :| :?
