11th digit is the "plant code." That said, North American-market Leafs have only been built in two places: Oppama, Japan for the 2011 and 2012 models, and Smyrna, Tennessee for the 2013 and later models. There is a 3rd Leaf manufacturing plant at Nissan UK in Sunderland, England for EU markets.
