Just bought this car used last week. I was looking around under the hood and saw this what appears to be a hole for a clip or bracket, or something. It's towards the front of the engine bay near the headlight. It looks like there might have been something there at some point.

Can someone take a look at theirs and see what's attached here?

The original a/c line has been replaced with a new one that does't use the bracket.
See NTB14-045a

That was my guess, but I wasn't sure. Now we have an easy way to tell if that recall was done on a given car.

As an FYI for the OP, they can d/l the above TSB at http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/local_links.php?catid=783&sort=d&pp=10&page=2 w/a free account.

There later was a service campaign on '13 thru '15 S: NTB16-050. Go to http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/Knowledgebase/links/802/ to download.

The symptoms before this issue is addressed is that the pipe may break, thus causing a refrigerant leak and thus no AC. IIRC, a well-known dealer tech in WA state mentioned that prior to the redesigned part, they've actually received new Leafs off the truck that have busted AC and need this work. Those who are active on https://www.facebook.com/groups/seattlenissanleaf/ probably will remember him commenting about this.
