"Gwinnett County police were led to Ali thanks to the victim chasing after him and struggling over a temporary tag on his Nissan Leaf before taking note of the numbers on the real license plate concealed underneath."

:?

According to the article, he was charged with sexual battery. Maybe he was trying to make up for lost bars?

(tasteless, I know)

Try as I might I can't parse that sentence.

I like his story.

Sees a woman drop a small 1.5" object from his moving car, woman can't figure out how to pick it up (lol), he stops to help her pick it up and she starts screaming help me, rips off his sandals and after an epic battle with a temporary plate, she gets his real license plate.

I totally believe you, bro.

Wow, about 5 miles from my house and I hadn't noted the Leaf connection. Leafs are all over here, so their owners now represent all aspects of Georgia society.

The story was incomplete... they never said what happened to the Leaf after he was arrested. Perhaps it was tied to a tree and deprived of electricity for a number of days for being an accomplice?
