Hi,

I was able to build the OpenEVSE no problem, it's an excellent kit. I used the old cable and connector from my GMVoltec charger. The OpenEVSE boots correctly, but when the plug is put in the Leaf, the leaf doesn't start charging. No blue lights appear. The OpenEVSE shows a green LED.

Anyone seen this problem before? Need some help, not sure where to start to debug. I am an elect. engineer so okay to talk technical.

Thanks,
Dave

Seems like the pilot signal is not working. Green is ready- not connected.

Check your pilot and ground for continuity from the plug to the board.

You can simulate charging with a 820 ohm resistor in series with a signal diode like a 1N4148. The diode bar goes to ground. the resistor goes to the pilot terminal.
