Hi Everyone,

I recently began leasing a new 2014 Leaf SL and I love everything about it except for the 110v trickle charging times. So I just had an electrician install a 240v NEMA 6-20 outlet on the front of my townhouse using an existing 20 amp breaker. I have a 50' 240v extension cord http://www.customavrack.com/Products/1614-50-foot-6-20p-to-6-20r-power-cord.aspx plugged into the AV Turbocord charger.

The first time I plugged everything in it charged the car for about 10mins then the red indicator light began blinking on the turbocord, so I unplugged the turbocord from the extension and plugged it back in and the blue light came on and everything was fine. Tonight was my 5th time charging and immediately upon plugging everything in the red light begins blinking again and no matter what I try it won't stop blinking. I've now had to revert back to the trickle charge. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have no idea but from the user manuals at http://evsolutions.avinc.com/turbocord" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, there are a couple causes and solutions for the blinking red light.

The manual also warns to never use an extension cord...

Thanks for the advise guys! But I think we fixed the problem, it was a faulty ground. Since its an outside electrical box, the box is painted so the receptacle wasn't actually touching bare metal for a proper ground. Once we scraped of some of the paint and exposed the bare metal I've had zero problems with charging the car.
