The ONE review says it's mis labeled as level two and it actually only a Level 1 for 110v. Picture looks to confirm it, too.

I just bought a LCS-25 on ebay for $325...

3 people on his feedbacks have gotten in already, seem to be ok. I have a Siemens 30A at my main residence, gonna have this one in a house that i stay at over the weekend, which should be perfectly fine doing a full charge in 7 hours.

I got an e-mail from the company saying it is 250V and 30A. I ordered one, if it works I will sell it, if it does not I will return it.

I'm afraid these units may have been stolen through credit card fraud from MetroPlugin and other Clipper Creek distributors. You may be able to check the serial numbers with Clipper Creek.

was this confirmed? I want to buy one but if they are not stolen.

The people that got them, do they work fine? Is is a true level 2?

Hi - can you say whatever came of this - was it L2 or L1? Was it a quality product? Did you keep it or return it?

My understanding is that:

- the product offered by EVSEUpgrade.com is very popular, probably for a reason.
- I spoke to one of the mainstream EVSE manufacturers and asked why they and all the EVSE manufacturers don't simply sell an original product something along the lines of the upgrade offered by EVSEUpgrade.com, and they said that there is a regulation preventing this (i.e.: preventing the sale of a 220V socket suitable extension cord for EVs).

EDIT: My invoice says 3.84KWhr but the 110V math is based on 15A which is what he said about the 110V max charging rate on the phone. I asked for clarification. Perhaps it's 16A for 240 and 15A for 110? 16A for 110V would be 80% of a 20A max so that should work on a lightly loaded circuit. Bonus I guess if you have a 30A 110V RV outlet, no worries of overload/breaker/fuse issues.

I ordered one. They have a 10% discount for veterans. I got:

EVI Plug-in EV Charger (Portable Cord) Mod.-SAE J1772 plug-to-car, NEMA 10 - 30 + adapter NEMA 10- 30 : NEMA 5 -15 plug-to-wall, 18' cord Level 2 Charging, 240V, 16A, 3.84 kW Weatherproof (IP 54), 18 foot cord, 5 lbs. Start/Stop button, Indicator lights for stages of charging

Breakout:
110V/240V 15 amp capable EVSE with built in 10-30 plug. (It's what I have already.) 5-15 adapter from 10-30 to use standard 110V outlets.

This is CHEAP. It should give a good bit quicker 110A rate vs. the Leaf stock EVSE because it's 15A vs. 12A. Assuming a 300W overhead for the cooling system. Quick math:

2.72A @ 110V = 300W.
9.28 net amps for 12A stock charger
12.28 net amps for EVI 15A charger

12.28 Amps is 32.3% more amps into the Leaf vs. the stock charger which is a nice bonus if you are still on 110V. And this is portable so you can use it for 'emergency' charges but I intend to use it for home and travel.

$350 out the door.

I talked with them on the phone and via email a good bit. Here's contact info:

They also have a 25ft option and you can order the physical plug that you want, say, locking 240V variations.
