Does this mean that the 2017 is soon to be released and that it will be the long awaited 200 mile, 40kwh, Leaf?

The 2017 Leaf is supposed to be another 'upgrade patch' that uses the same car, but with a 40kwh pack and 140 mile range. It may be as short-lived as the 30kwh version, or they may use it to get to 2018...

2017 is soon to be released but it will be the same old body and interior and should come with a 30kWh and 40kWh battery option. My guess is 30kWh for S trim and 40kWh for SV and SL. 2018 will be the next generation model.
