Hi Guys,
My situation has changed and my van is experiencing slippage in the transmission. I asked a mechanic and basically said transmission work won't be cheap. I am considering selling the van for, hoping, 4000 and by the end of the month I should have 6000 in cash. This should hopefully give me 10000 for a used 2013 leaf. Prices seem to vary though I did see one for about 9k-ish used. I know dealers have weird fees added on so the real price will likely be above 10k if not 11k. So I want to consider a loan of about 1.500 to 2000. I was looking at US BANK for auto loan and it has a calculator:
Your auto loan of $1,500.00 has a monthly payment of $127.03.
This is for a Loan of $1,500.00 at 2.99% for 12 months. The total of all of your payments** for this loan would be $1,524.36.

and also they have a program that if you buy a green car, leaf qualifies you get 0.5% off the apr

i know the amount I am dealing with is pretty small so that 0.5% won't matter much, but at least it is something else in there. I could also maybe think about buying a rav4 ev but i'd need at least a 25k loan which I highly doubt I will qualify. I don't really want to lease a leaf as I think 3 years is just too long to have a nissan leaf. I'd rather own a used one and perhaps use it for a year or so and then get an electric van if one comes out or a big electric SUV (RAV4?)
