Nissan Leaf claims 367 Miles Per Gallon

Found a little more info on the numbers.

Apparently for all electric vehicles, the Department of Energy calculates a miles per gallon (mpg) equivelance rather than using a completely different rating such as kilowatt-hours per 100 miles.

Based on the amount of energy stored in a kilowatt hour (kWH) versus a gallon of gasoline, the Nissan Leaf uses the same amount of energy as a car that would achieve 367 miles per gallon!!

According to SAE, if they were to use an all-electric vehicle test cycle, the Nissan Leaf would achieve somewhere around 100 MPG.
