For the engineers out there to review. Figure out the efficiency of this device. It uses an internal lithium ion battery to run a 4 watt hour life fuel cell "puck". I would suspect a lithium ion battery alone would be more efficient.

PowerTrekk replied to my post on FB: "The Puck with salt and any kind of water will power any USB-device, even if the battery in the charger is completely empty. Using a battery is great, until it's out of power. The PowerTrekk generates the electricity you'll need to power up your device anywhere, anytime. To summarize: With PowerTrekk - you're completely independent from the electrical grid."

The product guide said the device will not output power when the internal battery is below a determined level. The power all goes to recharge the battery. I wonder how it really operates.
