This summer I took a road trip on my 2012 Zero S electric motorcycle that has a range very similar to a Nissan Leaf. My motorcycle is able to charge in 1-1.5 hours on a level 2 charger, which means a trip like this would take longer in terms of charging time. However, this trip represents progress in being able to use an electric vehicle for more than just around town. (I'm not saying the time to travel is on par with gas powered vehicles, but it is getting closer.)
